The BMW X5 is a modern classic that has been rolling off the line at the U.S. Spartanburg plant since 1999. Back then, Europe had barely taken notice of the SUV wave, but that did no harm to the U.S.-Bavarian’s success. Very soon, it successfully “swam” across the Atlantic by the thousands. Large selection of engines

Take your pick from the engine options including four petrol and three diesel variants, all of which can be combined with 8-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid xDrive45e with 394 PS (290 kW) is a technical highlight, while the diesel variant comes with one 4- and two 6-cylinders that put out between 231 PS (170 kW) and 340 PS (250kW). And furthermore, the sporty X5 M50i is in the 530 PS (390kW) range.
