TV-worthy appearance for the SUV classic
The DEZENT TV meets the BMW X5

The BMW X5 is a modern classic that has been rolling off the line at the U.S. Spartanburg plant since 1999. Back then, Europe had barely taken notice of the SUV wave, but that did no harm to the U.S.-Bavarian’s success. Very soon, it successfully “swam” across the Atlantic by the thousands. On arrival, today as much as back then, the question of the proper “footwear” remains, with the most crucial factor being high load-bearing capacity. With its powerful double spokes, the DEZENT TV light alloy rim is the ideal choice, combining revered looks with an exceedingly well-balanced design. With a payload of 1050kg and in the dimension 9x20 (our picture shows the size 275/45 R20), it is the optimum rolling base for the popular Bavarian. Depending on the desired accentuation and the car’s finish, the five-hole rim is available in the design variations dark, black, and silver.

Double millionaire
The popularity of the BMW X5 is best understood in figures: Up until now, this robust all-rounder has been sold two million times. And why is that? The X5 has a commanding presence, and its highly spacious interior delivers what the impressive looks promise, optionally fitting up to seven persons. If the third row is not used, even persons up to a height of about 1,95 metres have plenty of space in the second row to enjoy long-distance travels.

Luxurious and easy to handle

Luxury is another point that speaks for the large X5, convincing even those who traditionally drive a saloon. A contributing factor includes build quality which, for example, in combination with fine leather and beautiful wood creates an impressive ambiance. Its control system is among the best in the segment. You can control the X5 via touchscreen, language, or the tried-and-tested iDrive system.

Technical highlights: chassis and all-wheel drive

The X5’s true strengths lie in its chassis and engine technology. The standard air suspension and body roll compensation technology is a magic kit of driving dynamics. The X5 is exceedingly agile, and at the same time, at the push of a button, a very silent and comfortable travel companion. The giant also does well off-road. The clever all-wheel drive supports the driver even on difficult terrain and serves as an excellent tractor, which is highly appreciated by those who own horses, boats, or mobile homes.

Large selection of engines

Take your pick from the engine options including four petrol and three diesel variants, all of which can be combined with 8-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid xDrive45e with 394 PS (290 kW) is a technical highlight, while the diesel variant comes with one 4- and two 6-cylinders that put out between 231 PS (170 kW) and 340 PS (250kW). And furthermore, the sporty X5 M50i is in the 530 PS (390kW) range.
