Many car owners wash their car at least once a month. However, alloy wheels – now almost standard – are often neglected in the process. This is surprising, given that they are among the parts of a vehicle that are subjected to the most wear and tear in everyday use.
Brake dust, road salt in winter, and other types of road dirt take their toll and can lead to corrosion. To prevent wheel cleaning from becoming hard labour – or, in the worst case, damaging the material – you should clean them regularly and, above all, thoroughly. And, if done step by step, it is definitely not rocket science.
