When oomph meets style
The fiery Seat Leon and the classic DEZENT TU black as a dream team

This one’s from a big family: In its fourth edition, the Seat Leon profits from its relatives, for example, owing to the promising MQB platform or modern assist and infotainment systems. However, the five-door Spaniard has always been big on pizzazz: A dash of flamboyant design, a pinch of spice in the chassis, and there you go – a fiery compact alternative to Golf and the like, which, in terms of pricing, also shows some empathy for the needs of the young.

The Seat Leon cuts a fine figure especially in duo with the glossy black DEZENT TU wheels. The combination of a classic five-spoke design featuring asymmetric spokes webs makes for a fresh twist, which goes very well with the spirited appearance of the compact Spaniard. Thanks to ECE homologation, the DEZENT TU can be fitted free of registration in the dimension 7.5x18 inches (tyres: 225/45 R18).

The perfect gig in summer and winter

With the fetching DEZENT TU, the Leon looks stunning both in summer and winter. Due to the innovative SRC coating (salt & sun resistant coating), damages caused by oxidation and UV-light are blocked out reliably. The primer of an SCR coating is a robust powder paint that is applied electrostatically and then thermally cured at 210 °C. Following this, the actual “colour carrier” is applied in form of a modern wet coating. Up to two ultra-hard clear lacquer layers then form the transparent sealing and first line of defence against environmental influences. And it goes without saying that the DEZENT TU supports tyre pressure monitoring sensors, in keeping with the motto “100% fit for TPMS”. If you want to try out rims and colour variations on your own car, check out the DEZENT 3D light alloy wheel configurator which can even simulate various paint colours, window tints or vehicle lowering. But let’s circle back to the description of the car.

Emotional design

The exterior design of the sporty-spicy Spaniard differs from the comparatively sober look of its group brothers. Prominent styling, dynamic proportions and, quasi as the pièce de résistance, LED strip lighting that runs all across the rear, emphasise the youthful, fresh look of the Leon which is also available as an estate car and goes by the name Sportstourer.

Wide range of engines

In terms of engine fitting, the agile Spaniard profits from the VW Group’s vast range from the 90-hp entry-level up to the 204-hp strong top model, featuring both diesel aggregates and natural gas versions in addition to a mild and plug-in hybrid system. As regards transmission, “DIYers” will get their money’s worth. If you opt for the dual-clutch gearbox, you can select the seven gears automatically or by using the gear-shift paddle. Another highlight: In addition to the most recent assist systems for lane keeping or Adaptive Cruise Control, which – depending on the engine – support partially autonomous driving up to 210 km/h, the Leon can pride itself on top ratings resulting from the Euro NCAP crash test.
