WTT …

WTT can mean many things, but in our case it’s an acronym for Wheels, Tyres, TPMS. Read on to find out why these three are so important and not even allowed to function without each other.

Wheels

The terms wheel and rim are often used synonymously, mostly alluding to the “round” things on a car that make it roll. Technically, only the term wheel is correct as it describes the entire product while the rim is only part of the wheel.

Tyres

A passenger car tyre is the part of the wheel on which it rolls off. Car tyres consist largely of rubber and synthetic materials, respectively, and they are so-called air tyres. Tyres transmit power between wheel and road. This already indicates the mutual interaction between wheels and tyres.

Tyre pressure monitoring system sensor

The third one in the trio, which has been mandatory in Europe since 1st of November 2014 for all new passenger cars, is a functioning tyre pressure monitoring system. However, the EU directive does not specify the type of tyre pressure monitoring system, allowing for the use of both direct and indirect systems. As indirect systems largely work via the in-built ABS sensors, this case involves a direct system, ensuring more precise measuring given that each wheel/tyre combination has its own sensor. This way, the display in the car’s interior will inform the driver about the filling pressure in each tyre.

Tyre pressure monitoring system sensors fulfil three functions

- They increase driving safety
- They prevent increased fuel consumption due to inaccurate tyre pressure
- They prevent increased tyre wear caused by low tyre pressure

Fittingly simple

All three products taken together result in a fitted unit. Once you’ve fitted four of those to your car you can take it for a spin…… if there weren’t a few rules and regulations. The topic involving wheels, tyres, and sensors is more complex than one would imagine. But fret not, we’re more than happy to help you find, choose, and technically verify all the components, guaranteeing one thing above all – results.

The DEZENT 3D wheel configurator displays all relevant information neatly in no time.

Straightforward results

In the first step, the 3D rim wardrobe allows you to select all of your car details. In the second step, you can choose your rim of preference and instantly “fit” it to the car selected by you.

Wheel/tyre combinations

You’ll now see a neatly compiled list of possible wheel/tyre combinations, including, of course, the corresponding certifications If you now continue to click on the arrow, a display will pop up, providing information on tyre pressure monitoring system sensors, assembly accessories, hubcaps, and anti-theft devices..

Tyre pressure monitoring system sensors

In this example, the selected car has no direct TPMS. A neatly organised list shows the matching tyre pressure monitoring system sensors. Once you’re happy with your selection, simply save all the information and find a dealer close to you.
We want you to be on the road hundred percent legally and safe. That’s why, we have put your selection to the acid test. As a result, the green thumb indicates instantly that your selection is 100% technically verified and that you can safely fit your wheel/tyre/sensor combination.

Professional expertise, accountability, and experience

More and more car drivers go for a quick, safe, and simple solution when it comes to rims, tyres, and sensors. Due to the many options, exceptions, and statutory provisions, every “gearhead” should think twice whether it wouldn’t be smarter to visit a professional car workshop than tinkering in their own garage.
